| Welcome to Miranda (just kidding)
The Seattle Browncoats are positively giddy about our new presence on the internet, our very own domain and webpage! The Seattle/Puget Sound-area Firefly fandom has been an active group since before the undeserved cancellation of "Firefly" way back in 2002 ... since then, the community has grown, morphed, and welcomed many fellow Firefly/ Buffy/ Whedon/ Sci-Fi fans into the warm and friendly environs of the "Seattle Browncoats". We have an active group who regularly posts events and comments at our MeetUp site which can be accessed at: http://www.meetup.com/Seattle-Browncoats/
We hope to encompass this new web presence by including our regular activities, events, shindigs, and postings at this site. But as all things in the 'verse, it is a work in progress. Bear with us as we expand and develop this new presence. Keep checking back to see what we add!

Traevynn, organizer for the Seattle Browncoats, was interviewed by Matt & Shannon of Seattle Geekly for the Can't Stop the Serenity charity event happening on July 18th, 2009. Have a listen -- http://www.seattle-geekly.com/ The interview is around the 79 minute mark on Episode #22. Seattle Browncoats Featured in Podcasts for Serenity Forever/Equality Now 2008! During the Serenity Forever/Equality Now movie screening - we were fortunate to have not one, but TWO interviews with some fantastic folks who came to our shindig.
The first one was with Jim Granger of Pacific Fen Spotlight - Pac-Fen Spotlight link. Notice the t-shirt in his opening dialogue? Pretty cunning, dontcha think? Jim also has a few minutes with some of our Browncoats in his Norwescon podcast - #105.
Interview number two is with The Movie Guys - Matt and Scott, who traveled all the way from eastern Washington (Yakima - the Palm Springs of Washington?) to take part in our charity event. The interview from the week of June 22nd is approximately 17 minutes into the podcast but it's worth watching from the beginning for the piece on Roslyn's independent movie theater and the reviews on Get Smart and Don't Mess with Zohan.
